Why I started Moksha EduSystems
I grew up in Nandyal, Andhra Pradesh. I began my career as a teacher, and taught for six years. Then I spent twenty years in IT, across India, Europe and the USA. I’ve seen how schools work from inside the classroom, and how well-built technology can make everyday work simple.
Six years ago, my family and I moved back to India. As a parent, I was surprised how hard it was to know what was happening at my children’s school. How were they doing in class? What was coming up? Was a fee due? There was no clear, reliable way to hear from the school. Updates came late, or not at all.
I soon realised this wasn’t one school’s problem. Schools in towns like ours work hard for their students, but they don’t have simple tools to run things smoothly or keep parents informed. Most school software is built for big-city schools, priced for big budgets, and works only in English.
So I decided to build one for our schools.
Moksha EduSystems brings student records, attendance, fees, exams and parent communication into one place, at a price schools in Tier-2 and Tier-3 towns can afford. Our parent app works in Telugu, so every parent can follow their child’s progress in the language they’re most comfortable with.
